Cherry Street Mission was a place that I grew up knowing when I was younger. I was raised in a family that donated there. I also had a girl scout troop that as part of our out reach would go and serve meals. Wanted to ask you that if you can donate or volunteer please do so.
One of my friends put it best on Facebook today:
PSA: Learn to count your blessings. No one is entitled to anything. If you have a roof over your head, food to eat, water to bathe/shower in and clothes on your back... you're fortunate. Don't expect someone else to give that to you, don't expect that the world owes you a thing, and never forget to say thank you when it offers to do so.
Life is tough out there, but one thing is for certain... gratitude will take you EVERYWHERE & life could always be worse.
